Illustration with fictitious data
New in this version
Tools built for the routine of consultants who serve many farms and need to decide fast, with the right number at hand.
Three calculation bases
NASEM 2021, NRC 2001 and the RDS model, which averages both for energy and metabolizable protein and adjusts efficiency for high-producing cows.
Intake of high producers
NASEM prediction capped by body weight, the other equations alongside, and a warning when intake is limited by diet density.
Fiber and rumen in detail
uNDF240 and rumen fill, TTNDFD and NDF kd from the lab report, fat and unsaturated fatty acids (RUFAL).
Acidosis risk
Rumen acidosis risk index from the diet and from the bunk particle separator, with each group's history.
Daily silage DM
Enter the measured silage DM and the program corrects the as-fed kg of every group, keeping the diet the same.
New silo
Swap the silage in every group at once and see the milk impact for each group first.
Feeder sheet by link
The feeder gets the farm's link, no login, with kg per feeding and per load. He enters fed and refused amounts, and actual intake appears next to predicted.
Money left on the table
Milk the diet cannot support, bunk refusals and feed offered above intake turned into money per month, also in the farmer report.
Maximum profit
The optimizer tests different milk targets and shows the one with the best income over feed cost, keeping the previous diet to compare.
Your farm in the portfolio
Ranking by income over feed cost, cost per kg of milk and efficiency, plus the regional average of silage analyses.
Label and guaranteed levels
Suggested label for the concentrate or premix, with guaranteed levels per kg and ingredients in the right order.
Bring the diets you already have
Reads the Excel diet report from another program and brings in groups, diets and feeds, linked to the closest ones in the library.
Complete technical report
Models, intake, rumen, feed sources and the definitions used, plus suggested rumen-protected methionine and lysine.
Methane and carbon
Enteric methane and CO₂ equivalent of the diet, per cow and per liter of milk.
A diet for every stage of the herd
From close-up to dry-off, each category has its own requirements and reference values. Tap a stage to see what the program looks at.
Lactation
Formulation with the NASEM 2021 model
Build the diet and instantly see the milk it allows from energy and from metabolizable protein, the cost per cow and per liter, and every nutrient against the range you set.
Least-cost optimizer
Choose the nutrients that count and the limits of each feed; the optimizer finds the cheapest diet that meets them.
Protein and amino acids
RDP, RUP, rumen ammonia and the 10 essential amino acids in metabolizable protein, with lysine and methionine highlighted.
Carbohydrates and fiber
Forage NDF, physically effective fiber, rumen-fermentable starch and the diet's predicted particle distribution on the Penn State separator.
Lab analyses
Import the lab report in XML and the farm's forage enters the diet with its own analysis, including 48-hour NDF digestibility.
Every category
Lactation, fresh cows, close-up with DCAD, dry cows, heifers and finishing, each with its own reference values.
From paper to the bunk
Concentrate mix, mixing sheet for the feeder, diet history for each group and diet comparison.

From the bunk to the bulk tank
Every kilogram that goes into the bunk has a cost and a response in milk. RDS Nutrition brings both ends together: the diet you formulate and what the farm shows in milk recording, particle size and heifer growth.
How the work flows in RDS Nutrition
A cycle repeated at every visit, with everything recorded on the same farm.
- FormulateBuild the diet with the NASEM 2021 model and let the optimizer find the least cost within your limits.
- Send it to the groupSave the diet to the group and hand the mixing sheet and the mix to the feeder.
- Measure at the farmMilk recording, bunk particle size, heifer growth and transition show how the animals responded.
- AdjustCompare with the previous diet, regroup cows and close the next formulation.
Follow the results on the farm
After the diet, what matters is the bulk tank. The farm's records sit next to the formulation, and one result leads to the next.
Milk recording
Wood lactation curve, peak, persistency, cows that dropped and regrouping by dragging cows on the chart. Read the spreadsheet or a photo of the test day.
Penn State separator
TMR per group at five points of the bunk, refusals, coefficient of variation and sorting index, compared with the particle size predicted by the diet.
Transition period
Close-up urine pH, BHB and fresh cow events, with their evolution over time.
Heifer growth
Weight and height of each animal, average daily gain against the breed target curve, weaning, first insemination and first calving.
Forage inventory
Silos, days of silage left, forage cost and the trend of lab analyses across all farms.
Herd projection
Three- to ten-year projection from the farm's reproductive indices, with purchases, sales and cash flow.

Proudly Brazilian, proudly agro
RDS Nutrition was born in the field, in the routine of a consultancy serving dozens of dairy farms in southern Brazil.
Made in Brazil
Software, support and a feed library built for tropical conditions: corn silage, haylage, by-products, corn DDGS, cassava, cactus pear.
Agro that feeds the world
Milk and beef from Brazilian farms reach millions of people. Every more efficient diet is more food with fewer resources.
Environmental responsibility
Each diet shows enteric methane, CO₂ equivalent per liter of milk and urinary nitrogen. Less refusal and the right protein are gains for the farmer and the planet.
Training the next generation
Students use the full program for a symbolic fee. Those who learn to formulate with the right tools arrive better prepared in the field.
Frequently asked questions
Which calculation model does the program use?
You choose: NASEM 2021, NRC 2001 or the RDS model, the default, which combines both for energy and metabolizable protein. The choice applies to the whole account, in the options, or to a single group.
Can I bring the diets from the program I use today?
Yes. RDS reads the Excel diet report from another program, creates the groups and links each feed to the closest one in the library. Check the feeds before the first formulation.
Does the feeder need a login?
No. He gets a link for the farm, sees only that farm's sheet and can only enter feedings and refusals. If a feeder leaves, you change the link and the old one stops working.
In which language is the software?
The program's screens are currently in Portuguese. Nutrient names and units follow the usual dairy nutrition terminology (NDF, CP, DIM), so they are easy to recognize. Talk to us about availability in your language.
Do I need to install anything?
No. RDS Nutrition opens in your computer's browser. If you like, install it as an app with its own desktop icon, straight from the browser.
Does it really work offline?
Yes, for farms opened at least once with internet on that computer. You formulate, enter records and look everything up; changes are stored and sync when the connection returns. The first sign-in and AI reading need internet.
On how many computers can I use it?
Each login is individual and tied to one computer. To switch machines, just ask support. If your team has more consultants, each one gets their own login.
Does the program replace the nutritionist?
No. It is a decision-support tool. Calculations follow published models and the data you enter; the diet decision and technical responsibility remain with the professional.
Who can see my farms' data?
Only you, your team and anyone you share a farm with. Data are kept on the program's server, with access protected by login and password. See the privacy policy.
What happens when the license expires?
Access is suspended. To keep your farms, diets and history, just renew: everything comes back as it was. Without renewal, data are deleted after the period set in the license terms.
